Cancer affects us all. First and foremost the patients themselves, but also the people around them. More than
43,000 people die of cancer each year in our country.
What are we doing?
The Erasmus MC Foundation - Daniel den Hoed (or Daniel den Hoed Fund) raises money for more scientific
research at the Erasmus MC Cancer Institute. Every step closer to cancer cure is extremely important. The
fund comes out with the slogan: "Make cancer no chance." This is a call to everyone to take up the fight
against cancer and to support scientific cancer research at Erasmus MC.
Tailored therapy
Our goal is that every patient receives a unique, tailor-made treatment based on the most recent scientific
results. A direct bridge is created between the research in the laboratory and the treatment of the patient.
